A member of a local DC church has recently achieved a significant milestone in his mission to serve and guide the younger generation. Brother Benjamin has successfully obtained a soccer coaching license, marking a new chapter in the church’s community outreach efforts.

The license, issued by the Maryland State Youth Soccer Association (MSYSA), qualifies Brother Benjamin to coach grassroots 11v11 in-person soccer. This achievement is particularly noteworthy given the scale and influence of MSYSA, which boasts an impressive 80,000 players, 241 clubs, and 10,000 coaches, volunteers, and administrators across the state.

Brother Benjamin’s passion for mentoring youth through sports aligns perfectly with this new qualification. His dedication to obtaining the license demonstrates the church’s commitment to engaging with the community in innovative and meaningful ways.

The church’s ambitions extend beyond this individual accomplishment. Three more members are currently pursuing their soccer coaching licenses, indicating a coordinated effort to expand their influence in youth sports. The ultimate goal, as stated by church representatives, is to establish and register their own youth soccer club within the Maryland state system.
