On Thursday, November 23, 2017, members of the DC Bethel Presbyterian Church gathered for Thanksgiving service, table fellowship and prayer meeting.
The service began at 11 a.m. in the morning with powerful praise where everyone sang with joy and gratitude for all God has done for them this year.
“Sachie and Gideon led the Thanksgiving praise with much grace and love. They’ve prepared a special song and performed for everyone after the message. It was a joyful service where all our hearts were glad as we’ve remembered God’s abundant mercy and love toward us,” said Bethel Church Minister Sam Kim.
Table fellowship followed where everyone brought a dish to share with everyone. Laura and Ken’s family brought the turkey and prepared it for all the members.
Kim commented, “We celebrated the table fellowship with abundance. Though many of us are far away from our families, we got together as one big spiritual family to thank God for His grace,”
During the prayer meeting, Swan Hahm lead everyone to share their reflection on what they are thankful for this year. Afterward, everyone prayed for one another and especially for God to heal Sachie as she is fighting to regain complete freedom from cancer that recurred recently.
“We are thankful for God’s only son Jesus Christ, who came to us and gave us eternal life. Although hardships and trials may visit us time to time, we are secure in our Lord Jesus Christ who is our firm foundation!”
